What’s in our app stack?

Being able to work remotely has been a developing topic over the last few years, no doubt. But since the large-scale reality change following the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdowns, its importance is now undeniable.

 

Here are examples from our own cloud and digital software application stack that we use at ASL Group to help us function remotely:

Cloud accounting: Xero

Xero is the current market leader in the cloud accounting space; and with good reason. The platform has become a hub from where numerous other add-ons can be integrated. It allows you to easily integrate your finances with other functions, such as marketing, inventory management, document management and more.

We are so convinced that this platform delivers the best value that we have geared our accounting and financial management business around it as our PLATFORM OF CHOICE.

Hubdoc has recently been included in all starter, standard and premium pricing plans to import financial documents and export them into Xero.

How to implement: CloudConvert is doing conversions of most accounting software over to Xero at no cost.

Collaboration and virtual meetings: Teams

We have adopted the Office365 platform, moved some of our data to the cloud, and Teams was a natural choice due to its integration with SharePoint. The virtual collaboration platform’s strength lies in its ability to also integrate with numerous other non-Microsoft services, such as Dropbox.

Video-conferencing quality compares well with that of Zoom and inviting external participants is much easier than it was in the past. External participants can also join via a link within their internet browser and do not need to download the app.

Automation of bills: Receipt Bank

Receipt Bank integrates seamlessly with Xero and other cloud-based accounting platforms. With an intuitive mobile app, it provides the ability to automate bills into your accounting system.

Workflow and task management: Asana
