“Spring – a reminder of how beautiful change can truly be.”
It’s hard to believe that we’re already staring at the start of the spring season, especially since the mountains had been blanketed in snow not so long ago. At the same time, most of us have had to traverse the challenges of the last few months with enduring resilience and inadvertently we tend to lose track of time in the ensuing chaos.
Since March 2020, when COVID-19 started to creep into the country, we’ve had to adapt to a ‘new normal’. Businesses right across South Africa were faced with great challenges, which led to unprecedented innovation and adaptation from South Africans trying to successfully navigate their businesses out of the uncertainty. It is now possible to experience virtual performances by any of South Africa’s top artists from the comfort of your home. Fine dining restaurants are delivering 3-course meals to your doorstep, and now that the ban on alcohol has been lifted (finally!), it comes complete with a suitable wine pairing. The tourism industry has made quick adjustments in implementing all necessary precautions for their success, and since inter-provincial travel has been allowed, all indicators suggest that the Western Cape, especially, will experience a bustling season.
The corporate world in South Africa is currently experiencing its own winter season with some industries slowly starting to emerge again. However, just as we can be certain that no season will last forever, so too, we are bolstered in the knowledge that any negative cycle must be followed by a positive one. For every one of our clients and acquaintances reading this right now, we are wishing you an exceptionally positive spring season (both literally and figuratively), in which you will have a fresh experience of the exceptional beauty of change.
